Delete your DoorMe account
This page explains how to delete your DoorMe host account, what is deleted with it, and what is kept afterwards. It applies to the DoorMe app for hosts (app.doorme.host) and to accounts created at doorme.app.
Guests do not have a DoorMe account. If you scanned a code and watched a guide, there is nothing to delete — DoorMe never asked for your name, email address or phone number.
In the app
This is the fastest route, and it needs no help from us.
- Open the DoorMe app and sign in.
- Go to the Me tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and everything listed below are removed straight away.
By email
If you cannot sign in, or you no longer have the app installed, emailsupport@doorme.app from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm when it is done.
We may need to check that the request comes from the account holder before we delete anything, which protects you from someone else deleting your guides.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in details
- Every property you added, with its rooms and features
- Every video you recorded or uploaded, and the thumbnails, transcripts, captions and translations made from it
- Property photos and your host photo
- Your guest access codes, which stop working immediately — guests staying with you lose the guide
What is kept, and for how long
| Backups containing deleted content | Up to 30 days after deletion |
|---|---|
| Billing records | As required by tax and accounting law |
| Support correspondence | 24 months |
Nothing kept is used to rebuild your account, and none of it is used for advertising.
Your subscription
A DoorMe plan bought in the app is billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play account — before deleting, if you can, so you are not billed for a plan with nothing behind it. A plan bought on doorme.app is cancelled atdoorme.app/account/billing.
